We are committed to making Camp Kindling as accessible as possible and have implemented the following provisions to support your attendance.

Below is an overview of the accessibility provisions available, along with key information to help plan your weekend, but if you still have further questions- please don't hesitate to reach out to our team.


General Information

  • Accessible provisions are strictly for attendees with permanent accessibility needs.

  • These provisions are not to be used by those with temporary impairments such as broken bones, recent surgeries, or pregnancy.

Personal Assistance Tickets

  • Complimentary Personal Assistant tickets are available for those requiring extra support to fully enjoy the weekend.

  • Important Information

    • Adults (18+): Each adult with accessibility is eligible for one complimentary PA ticket per booking.

    • Under 18s: Children with accessibility needs are eligible for a complimentary PA ticket, only if a fully paying adult is included in the same booking.

    • PA Eligibility: The designated Personal Assistant must be 18 years or older at the time of the event.

Accessible Facilities Wristband

To use accessible facilities, you must apply for an Accessible Facilities Wristband before the deadline.

Facilities Include:

  • Accessible toilets and showers.

  • Accessibility Shuttle Buggy service.

  • Reduced queuing via an Accessible Entrance Lane.

How to Apply:

Submit an application before the deadline on Monday 4th August 2025.
Provide one of the following as evidence during your application:

  • Letter from GP

  • Disability Living Allowance (higher rate)

  • Personal Independence Payments

  • CredAbility Access Card (must include the +1 essential companion symbol)

  • Blind Registration

  • Recognised Assistance Dog ID Card

  • War Disablement Pension

  • Armed Forces Independence Payment

Applications are processed within four weeks, and wristbands can be collected upon arrival at the event.


Accessible Campsite

A designated area for attendees with accessibility needs and their family.

  • Includes dedicated accessible toilets & showers

Accessible Toilets

  • Available across all campsites and event areas.

  • Locations will be marked on the event map provided upon arrival

  • Secured with a RADAR key (Important: Bring your own RADAR key or borrow one temporarily onsite)

Accessible Showers

  • Located in Accessible Camping and Boutique Camping.

  • Secured with a RADAR key.

Accessibility Shuttle Buggy

Runs between Accessible Parking and Accessible Camping during arrival and departure.

During the live event, operates on a fixed route with stops at:

  • Basecamp

  • Centrecamp

  • Intrepid Forest

  • Boutique Camping

  • Playing Fields

How it Works: The buggy operates continuously, without a set timetable.

Accessible Entrance Lane

  • An accessible entrance lane at General Camping to reduce queueing times.


The Retreat

A quiet, inclusive space, offering:

  • Mindful activities like colouring and relaxation exercises.

  • A calming environment away from sensory stimulation.

  • Trained counsellors for mental health support.


FAQS

Can I use a CPAP machine in the General Campsite?

CPAP machine use is only supported in critical cases. Please contact us at office@campkindling.co.uk to discuss your needs.

Can I bring an assistance animal?

Yes, assistance animals are welcome with prior approval.

You must apply using the Assistance Animal Form.

Animals must wear an identifying vest and remain on a lead at all times.

Evidence required for approval: Letter from GP or ADUK/ADI/IGDF Registration

Is there a fridge for storing medication?

Yes, medication can be stored in a fridge at the medical tent in Basecamp.

Please ensure medication is kept in its original packaging.

Do you have a quiet area?

Yes, The Retreat is a quiet space open to all.

It offers mindfulness activities, mental health support, and a calm space to relax away from sensory stimulation.

Can I participate in all the activities if I have a disability?

Many of our activities are fully accessible, but please check the specific accessibility notes for each activity, which will be provided before Enrolment.

How accessible is the site?

Camp Kindling is a temporary event, held on a private woodland estate

Much of the ground is flat and grassy

In wet weather, the terrain may become muddy, making it challenging for wheelchairs.

There are no permanent pathways or trackways onsite.
