Covid-19 Response & Planning 

The safety of our guests, staff and the wider community is always our first priority.

Providing an outstanding experience to our guests is right behind that.

Unless we can guarantee those two things, then we will not go ahead with an event.

2020

We made the difficult decision to postpone all events in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We had the option to go ahead within the restrictions at the time, but our exceptionally high standards for safety and experience were not met.

All ticket holders were offered the option to rollover their tickets to 2021, or request a full refund.

All requested refunds were promptly processed.

Summer 2021

We hope to be able to run our Summer 2021 season and give as many people as possible the opportunity to attend.

We will release a small number of tickets on Friday 7th May at 10:00.

We advise you to register now and book at 10:00 on the 7th if you want the chance to attend in the summer.

Camp Kindling is in late August, and we expect the situation to be very different to now. We are therefore planning for all possibilities.

Here is a list of the measures we have planned should we need them.

They are based on information provided by government agencies, the latest academic & industrial research, and our expert team of advisors.

Not all measures will be necessary, the eventual measures taken will depend on the nature of the risk at the time. We will update this page as things develop.

We will not go ahead if we cannot guarantee safety and an outstanding experience.

Arrival and Accreditation 

  • Covid-19 testing conducted either before, or on arrival at the event.
  • Covid-19 testing conducted during the event.
  • Reduce the number of ticket holders to events in order to allow for social distancing.
  • Mandatory for all guests and staff to use the NHS Track & Trace App.
  • Train guests and staff on Covid-19 secure guidelines and procedures.
  • Face masks & personal hand sanitisers provided free to all guests and staff.

Activities 

  • Activity leaders required to wear masks and gloves at all times.
  • Perspex installed, where possible, between guests taking part in activities. 
  • All activity equipment fully disinfected between uses or not shared between guests.
  • Additional security staff employed to ensure social distancing is adhered to at all times.

Bar, Food Traders & Merchandise  

  • All drinks, food and beverages ordered via table service only, to ensure social distancing measures are followed
  • All food and drink will be sold in single-use, recyclable or biodegradable containers. 
  • No shared condiments, bottles, milk, cutlery etc.
  • Tables at least 2 metres apart 
  • Only accept contactless card payments 
  • All staff will be required to wear masks and gloves at all times
  • Enhanced cleaning practices

Communal Areas

  • Increased size of all communal areas, including the campsite, dance floor and seating areas to allow for adequate social distancing.
  • Implement one way systems with clear signage and stewards
  • Regular disinfecting and enhanced cleaning of communal tables, chairs etc, which will be cleaned after each use.
  • Additional security staff employed to ensure social distancing is adhered to at all times.

Medical Team & Facilities

  • Expertly trained medical and welfare staff, who will be on-site at all times. 
  • Quarantine and isolation tents and a method for safe transportation, in case of any suspected cases of infection.

Hygiene & Sanitation

  • Increased ratio of toilets and showers to people (we already have one of the highest in the UK)
  • Toilets will be proper flushing units, spacious and lockable, with excellent ventilation systems.
  • Toilets will have proper hand sinks with hot running water and antibacterial hand soap.
  • Toilets cleaned, disinfected and supplies of toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap replenished every 30 minutes. 
  • Shower blocks have individual lockable showers with hot running water and excellent water pressure and drainage systems.
  • Showers cleaned, disinfected and supplies of soap replensihed every 30 minutes 
  • Additional staff employed to ensure social distancing is maintained by all when using toilets & showers.
  • Provide multiple hand washing stations in every location across the event site with hot running water and antibacterial hand soap.
  • Sanitiser stations around the event site and at all key locations.

Postponement 

Summary

We remain extremely hopeful that the Covid-19 pandemic will be under control by August.

We will do whatever we can to bring you some much-needed joy this summer.

If we do not feel we will able to provide a safe, high-quality experience, we will postpone our events and offer exchanges or refunds on all bookings.
