Campsite Noise

Updated over 2 months ago

As a family-only event we know how important it can be to get a good night's rest ready to enjoy the following day!

We carefully balance our programming and site design to ensure that there is enough fun for all age groups (including parents), whilst ensuring little ones can sleep when they need to.

Noise Levels

Time

Noise Levels

07:00 - 19:00

General hustle and bustle of people moving around camp, and noise from activities and entertainment.

19:00 - 22:30

This is the noisiest time of day. Music from stages will be audible in campsites and everyone will be in a party mood.

22:30 - 00:00

Quiet enough for kids to sleep. The main music stages are closed. We ask that campers do not play any of their own music in the campsites, but low level conversations are acceptable.

00:00 - 07:00

Quiet hours. We ask that everyone is respectful of others sleeping and keeps noise to an absolute minimum.

Tips For Light Sleepers

  • Setup your camp away from the walkways to reduce the noise from people walking past.

  • Setup your camp away from the toilets to reduce the noise from people using these facilities.

  • Camp at the back of the campsite where noise from activities and entertainment will be minimal at all times.

  • Think about upgrading to boutique camping which is generally quieter than general camping.

Tips For Night Owls

  • Bringing a Festival Trolley and ear defenders mean your little one can sleep while you party and you can just wheel them back to bed when you are done.

  • Head to the Clubhouse bar in centre camp which is open until midnight and away from the campsites so you can be as noisy as you like.

Reporting Problems

Our 24hr security teams regularly patrol the campsites to maintain noise levels during the quiet hours.

If noise is preventing you from sleeping through the night, please report it to one of a member of security, or to the information cabin and the team will be able to assist you.
