We know plans don't always go as expected, so Camp Kindling operates a clear and fair policy on refunds and exchanges. Please read through the details below so you know where you stand.
Refund Policy
7-Day Cooling-Off Period
If you change your mind within 7 days of making a booking, you're eligible for a full refund.
How to request: Let us know within 7 days of your booking.
Processing time: Refunds are issued within 14 days.
Tickets Are Non-Refundable
Once the 7-day cooling-off period has passed, all tickets, accommodation, and travel bookings are non-refundable, unless Camp Kindling cancels, postpones, or curtails the event. This policy helps ensure the long-term sustainability of our events, which depend on accurate attendance numbers and careful planning.
Cancellation or Postponement
If Camp Kindling cancels or postpones an event, we'll offer you:
The option to exchange your booking for a future event, OR
A full refund.
Refunds or exchanges for cancellations and postponements are processed within 14 days.
Curtailment
If an event is curtailed (cancelled or cut short after it has started):
You'll be offered a partial refund based on the portion of the event that didn't take place, OR
The option to exchange your booking for a future event.
Refunds or exchanges for curtailments are processed within 14 days.
Serious Illness
If you or a member of your family are unable to attend due to a serious illness, you may be eligible to exchange your booking for a future Camp Kindling event.
Requirements:
Let us know at least 48 hours before the event begins.
Provide a valid doctor's certificate confirming you were unfit to attend, submitted within 28 days of the event's conclusion, to office@campkindling.co.uk
The doctor's certificate must clearly include the name and dates of the event, along with the reason a medical professional believes it is unsafe for you to attend.
Important: Ticket exchanges for serious illness are granted solely at Camp Kindling's discretion and based on the information provided.
Please note that tickets and other items may only be exchanged once, and any items that have already been exchanged are not eligible for resale on our Marketplace.
Offering an exchange to a future event is not something we're legally required to do as an organiser. We choose to provide this option as a gesture of goodwill, because we genuinely want to support our community where we can.
It's worth understanding that providing an exchange comes at a significant cost to us. As with all ticketed events, once a ticket is sold, the income is immediately allocated to covering the costs of that attendee's place β including venue hire, activity spaces, entertainment, suppliers, staff, and infrastructure. By granting an exchange, we're effectively funding a camper to attend twice on the income from a single ticket.
We offer this because we value our community and want to be as supportive as possible. All we ask in return is that requests are made with kindness and understanding β including providing the correct medical evidence without complaint, as our team is doing their best to help within the limits of what is sustainable.
As we've recently upgraded to a new booking system, exchange bookings won't be issued until January 2026. We're sorry for any inconvenience this causes. Rest assured, our team will carefully note the details of any confirmed exchanges so they can be completed once the system is ready.
Pregnancy and Attendance
We're delighted to welcome pregnant people to Camp Kindling and encourage participation in activities as you feel comfortable. Pregnancy is not considered a reason for a refund or exchange.
Key Points to Remember
