Who is Camp Kindling for?

Camp Kindling is made for families. It's a warm, welcoming weekend where you can connect, explore, and have fun together -- whether your family is a crew of two or a whole gang. We keep ticket numbers limited on purpose, so it always feels like a friendly, close-knit community.

Who Can Attend?

Families Only

Camp Kindling is exclusively for families, creating a friendly and welcoming environment for everyone. Solo parents are warmly welcome, with a limit of three children per adult to make sure everyone has the best possible experience.

Solo Attendance

Camp Kindling isn't open to individuals without children. If you're an adult looking for a similar adventure-filled experience, we'd recommend checking out Camp Wildfire -- our summer camp designed specifically for grown-ups.

Age Inclusivity

Camp Kindling welcomes families with children of all ages. To make sure every member of your family has a fantastic time, activities and tickets are tailored to these age groups:

  • Youth (12-17): Youths can take part in activities independently and explore Camp Kindling throughout the day, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian after 8 p.m.

  • Junior (6-11) & Infant (3-5): Parents need to supervise these younger age groups at all times. There are loads of age-appropriate activities designed especially for them.

  • Baby (0-2): Under 2s can attend Camp Kindling free of charge. While there aren't dedicated activities for this age group, there are plenty of play areas to keep little ones entertained. All babies still need a ticket, which you can add to your booking at no cost.

Whether you're bringing teenagers, toddlers, or tiny tots, Camp Kindling has something for every member of your family to enjoy!

FAQS

Can I come as a single parent?

Absolutely! Solo parents are very welcome at Camp Kindling, with a limit of three kids per adult. We've also set up a Facebook group for solo parents so you can connect and plan with other families before the weekend.

Is it very crowded?

Not at all. Camp Kindling is designed to feel just right -- lively enough to have a great atmosphere, but small enough that it still feels like a friendly community. We limit ticket numbers to keep it that way.

Is it super competitive?

There's a fun competitive side to Camp Kindling for families who enjoy it, but participation is completely optional. If your family would rather relax and enjoy activities without competing, you'll feel just as welcome.

Do I need to be fit and sporty?

Not at all! Camp Kindling offers a huge range of non-physical activities, including arts and crafts, science experiments, bushcraft, survival skills, and wellness workshops. There really is something for everyone, whatever your fitness level.

Do you have facilities for babies & young children?

Yes! Camp Kindling has dedicated play areas to keep little ones entertained, along with baby-changing facilities so parents have everything they need for a comfortable, stress-free weekend.
