Forest Quest

FOREST QUEST
Challenges to crack, codes to win and lock boxes hidden deep in the trees. A race through the woods for teams with plenty of wit and a little stealth.
Forest Quest is a woodland team game and a race against the clock. Teams complete a series of challenges to win the codes that open lock boxes hidden among the trees. It's part treasure hunt, part escape room and part adventure trail, and it rewards stealth, quick thinking and a bit of charm as much as speed.
Your Activity Leader explains the rules and sends the teams off into the forest. Each challenge you complete earns you a clue or part of a code. Put the pieces together, find the right lock box and see if your code opens it.
The clock is always ticking, so teams have to decide quickly: split up or stick together, go for the tricky challenge or the quick one. The team that opens the most boxes in the time climbs the leader board and wins points for their Patrol (the team you join when you arrive).
Challenges mix brains, teamwork and a little sneakiness. Some are puzzles and riddles to solve. Some test how quietly you can move through the woods without being spotted. Others need the whole team to pull together, or a charming talker to save the day. Every quest is a little different, which is half the fun.
Codes might be numbers, letters or symbols, and a lock box could be tucked behind a log, hidden in the undergrowth or sitting somewhere in plain sight. Sharp eyes help a lot.
Yes. It's made for children who love running around outside, solving mysteries and working in a team. There's a job for everyone, from the puzzle solver to the fast runner and the one who spots the hidden box first. Children get to make their own decisions and feel properly brave in the woods, and they usually come back full of stories. Sometimes it's run as a children-only game, which gives grown-ups a little time to themselves.
Sensible shoes with a good grip are a must, as the forest floor can be uneven, with roots and fallen branches. Pack a drink, sunscreen on sunny days and a warmer layer, as shady parts of the forest can feel cool. If your child is taking part on their own, make sure you're there to collect them on time at the finish.
DO CHILDREN NEED ANY EXPERIENCE?
No. Your Activity Leader explains the rules before the quest begins, and everything the teams need is provided.
IS FOREST QUEST SAFE?
Racing across uneven forest ground can lead to trips, slips and falls. Wear sturdy shoes with a good grip, watch out for roots and branches and stay within the game area. Do not climb on structures or trees unless the Activity Leader says so.
CAN CHILDREN DO FOREST QUEST WITHOUT THEIR PARENTS?
Sometimes Forest Quest is run as a children-only game. If so, grown-ups need to collect their child at the finish time, as children cannot leave on their own.
WHAT ARE PATROL POINTS?
They are points won for your Patrol, the team you join when you arrive at Camp. Games like Forest Quest are one way to earn them.
