Dragon Training

DRAGON TRAINING
Dragons, fairies and a forest full of legends. Step into a story together and see what happens when you meet a baby dragon for the very first time.
Dragon Training is a magical family session where children step into a world of dragons, fairies and fantasy characters. Through interactive storytelling, hands-on crafts and mythical mini-adventures, dragon trainers and their fairy assistants bring the realms of legend to life. It's imaginative play at its best, with plenty for grown-ups to enjoy too.
Dragons appear in myths and legends from all over the world. In many European tales they're fierce, fire-breathing creatures that guard treasure in caves, like the dragon in the English legend of Saint George. In Chinese tradition, dragons are wise and powerful, linked with water, rain and good fortune. Wales even has a red dragon on its flag.
Fairies come from folklore too, especially in Britain and Ireland, where stories tell of small, magical beings living in woods, hills and hidden places. A forest is the perfect setting for both.
Your dragon trainers welcome you into their world and draw everyone into the story. From there, the session mixes storytelling with hands-on crafts and small quests around the woods, so children are listening one moment and exploring the next. Everyone gets involved, and the tale grows as you go. And yes, there may be a baby dragon or two to meet along the way.
It's a gentle, enchanting session made for sparking young imaginations. Storytelling and pretend play give children the chance to be brave, curious and creative, and many find it easy to get lost in a world where anything is possible. It suits children who love fairy tales, dragons, making things and a bit of make-believe, which is most of them. The crafts are a lovely part of it too, giving little hands something to make while the story unfolds around them.
Yes, and that's a big part of the magic. Grown-ups can listen, craft and play alongside their children, and it's lovely to see a little one's face light up when the story comes to life. Wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes, as mini-adventures in the forest can mean uneven ground, roots and the odd muddy patch.
DO PARENTS JOIN IN WITH DRAGON TRAINING?
Yes. It's designed for families to enjoy together, so grown-ups are welcome to listen, craft and play alongside their children.
IS DRAGON TRAINING SAFE?
Dragon Training is low risk, but it involves active outdoor play with costumes and props, so trips on uneven ground can happen. Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and keep an eye on younger children as they move around. Do not run on uneven ground or climb on props and scenery.
IS DRAGON TRAINING SCARY?
No. The dragons and fairies are friendly, and the stories are gentle and full of wonder.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes that can cope with uneven, sometimes muddy forest ground.
